Mercy College Sligo fields three teams in the Connacht Ladies GAA Secondary schools' competitions at under 14, Junior (U16) and Senior (U20) grades.
The school features regularly at the latter stages of the Connacht championships and captured a provincial title in 2024 (Senior). Due to high numbers we have started a 1st Year only training group for our new students to ensure Gaelic football for all.
Many of our girls play underage intercounty football for Sligo with some having gone on to play senior for Sligo, most notably Michelle McNamara, Leah Kelly and Anna McDaniel in recent years.
Over the past few years, nine clubs from Sligo and Leitrim have been represented on our teams, enhancing not only our performances on the field but also fostering lasting friendships.
