Careers Education / Work Experience
- Students are required to complete Work Experience over 4 weeks per year. During this period, students will spend their days in workplaces where they will shadow a member of staff.
Students also have one class period of Careers each week during which they receive a comprehensive preparation for the world of work. This will include interview preparation, compiling a C.V, writing letters, study skills and an overview of Third Level, subject choices for Fifth Year and careers information.
- Students may also apply for Exceptional Work Placements to facilitate additional work/programme educational placements.
- Students are encouraged to apply for additional Transition Year Programmes such as Look into Law (The Bar of Ireland), MiniHealth Sciences (Royal College of Surgeons), Abbvie and many more.
