Business Studies & Computer Applications
This course provides the academic foundation for entry into a variety of courses in Business and I.T. It also offers training in a range of subjects which are relevant to business and computing. The skills acquired in this course will provide students with opportunities in a wide range of careers within the private and public sectors.
Leaving Certificate or equivalent. Mature students are welcome. Places are strictly limited and subject to interview
Dept. of Education grants available for eligible students through your local VEC. Payment of grants are course attendance based.
Students pay a fee which covers registration, examination fees, course materials, administration, and additional certification. Precise details available on request.
F.E.T.A.C. Level 5 and as part of the module Health and Safety at Work students obtain a First Aid Certificate.

Through the H.E.L.S. students can apply for a range of degree courses in computing science and engineering (certain course requirements may apply). Through the Pilot Scheme application can be made for most courses in colleges operating the scheme e.g. D.T.406 Tourism Degree, L.Y.006 Degree in Law, S.G.105 Certificate in Office
Administration, S.G.136 Degree in Computing. Graduates going directly into employment are finding work in the Civil Service, Co Councils H.S.E. and the private sector.
