Advanced Certificate in Business

The modern office is a very intensive computer environment. This course will give the student the necessary skills for entry level into the business world
This course will allow graduates to exercise their skills in the general areas of marketing, finance and management.

Entry requirements: 

Leaving Cert. or equivalent.  Mature students may also apply.  Interview also required.

Grants: 

Dept. of Education grants available for eligible students through your local VEC. Payment of grants are course attendance based.

Fees: 

Students pay a fee which covers registration, examination fees, course materials, administration, and additional certification. Precise details available on request. 

Course certification: 

F.E.T.A.C. Level 6 and as part of the module Health and Safety at Work students obtain a First Aid Certificate.

Course content: 

 

8 Modules required for a full award: 2 modules at level 5 can be undertaken and will satisfy the criteria for 1 Level 6.

  • Payroll Manual and Computerised Level 5/Level 6

Career prospects: 

Through the H.E.L.S. students can apply for a range of degree courses in computing science and engineering (certain course requirements may apply). Graduates going directly into employment are finding work in the Civil Service, Co Councils H.S.E. and the private sector.
